INPERSO aims to tackle the multifaceted deep renovation challenge by addressing the individual needs of key stakeholders involved in the retrofit process.
To do so, the project will feature four distinct phases: Decision and design (pre-retrofit), integration (during-retrofit) and validation & demonstrations (post-retrofit).
The pre-retrofit phase
An RE suite platform will be used in order to collect, maintain and store information about existing buildings over their life cycle, evaluate the renovation acceptance solutions and analyse building data and performance.
In this phase, low-Carbon renovation models will be developed and implemented to introduce the human-centric dimension to industrialised renovation.
The during-retrofit phase
Advance renovation components and technologies will be installed, like smart walls, window and shading devices, HVAC and BIPV/BAPV (Building Integrated/Applied Photovoltaics).
The post-retrofit phase
A holistic energy management system will be used which utilises AI Machine Learning tools to translate process data into actionable information. The system will anticipate the overall process energy needs and will take decisions on the optimal energy mix to be used by finding the most cost-effective energy policy.
Objectives →
1
Deliver an integrated platform, a resource for information access and management throughout the building’s lifecycle
2
Generate new, low-carbon renovation models that bridge the gap between designed and built and are affordable, adaptable, provide resilience while integrating the user in the renovation process
3
Accelerate the adoption of advanced manufacturing and prefabrication technologies in renovation, reducing waste and the energy demand of the process itself
4
Deploy on-site 3D façade printing
5
Address personalised comfort requirements inclusively, by increasing building smartness
6
Deliver a complete system comprised of almost-commercial readiness level products and processes
